As Associate Dean for Academic Personnel, Paul is responsible for the overall leadership and management of SEBS/NJAES Office of Human Resources. He develops and implements the policies and procedures associated with human resource functions at the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences and the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station. He is also responsible for administrative leadership and support for all matters related to the hiring, reappointment, promotion and tenure process for faculty. In addition, Paul is responsible for interpretation and enforcement of employment terms covered by collective bargaining agreements and serves as University representative in personnel related activities including Affirmative Action, grievances and harassment compliance.

As Human Resources Manager, Phyllis is the initial contact person responsible for faculty and staff recruitment. She often serves on search committees for administrative staff. As Unit Approver, she oversees and processes for approval all requests in the Applicant Tracking System and she oversees all Staff Absence Record Cards in the Absence Record System. Phyllis reviews and processes all requests for Sabbatical and Competitive Fellowship Leaves. Additionally, Phyllis maintains a database of all non-tenure track Annual Appointments and Emergency/One Year Hires. Assistance with responses to requests for Family and Medical Leave (FMLA) are handled by Phyllis. She lends support and/or advice to all SEBS departments on personnel-related matters, i.e. retirement, layoffs, making certain that all terms and conditions of employment are adhered to.

As Benefits Specialist, Esther's responsibilities include advising and counseling Federal retirees and resolving benefits-related issues. She is also responsible for oversight of the appointment process for teaching assistants and graduate assistants, post-doctoral associates and visiting scholars/scientists and professors. In addition, Esther provides oversight for all international visa applications for student, short-term scholars and faculty.

As Secretarial Assistant-Technical, Mary is responsible for initiating and maintaining all official faculty personnel files, preparation and mailing of faculty contracts, faculty offer letters, post-doctoral appointment letters, faculty reappointment letters and other correspondence as required. She maintains a database of all incoming correspondence and distributes materials appropriately. She also plays a key role in the review of compensation program documents and appointment and promotion packets.
